Invisible braces are the ideal treatment for many patients who need mild to moderate orthodontic treatment. Dr. Bimal Mehta is a Houston Invisalign dentist, helping patients gently reposition their teeth and straighten their smiles.
Invisalign© is the number one requested invisible braces system in the United States. Invisalign© can be used for adults and teens who want to straighten their teeth without metal braces. Invisalign© is virtually invisible, almost no-one will be able to tell you are wearing clear braces. Invisalign© aligners are made of a ultra thin, ultra clear, hard-soft plastic. Depending on your case, you will wear a series of aligners for approximately 2 weeks each. Most patients complete treatment in 6 – 12 months.
Benefits of Choosing Invisalign®
Invisalign© aligners are clear, removable and comfortable. They work by gently repositioning the teeth without causing damage to tooth enamel, gum tissue or TMJ.
Invisalign© is used to treat a variety of orthodontic concerns including:
- Crooked teeth
How Does Invisalign® Work?
The first step is a consultation with Dr. Furgurson in our Chapel Hill dental office. Once he’s determined Invisalign is right for you, Dr. Furgurson will create a customized treatment plan. The dentist will take an impression of your teeth and send them to the Invisalign laboratory to have a series of custom, clear aligners made for your teeth.
Most patients will receive several sets of trays, each pair is worn for about two weeks to gradually reposition the teeth. The length of treatment depends on your condition as well as your goals. Generally speaking, treatment takes 6 to 9 months, but some patients may achieve the results they want in as few as 3 or 4 months.
Special retainers and follow up visits with Dr. Furgurson will help ensure you maintain your straighter smile.
How Much Does Invisalign® Cost?
The cost of Invisalign invisible braces depends on the individual treatment. Factors that determine pricing include the number of setups and aligners needed to achieve the desired straightening results. When compared to traditional metal braces, Invisalign is typically less expensive.
Are invisible braces covered by insurance?
Invisible braces are typically not covered by insurance. Chapel Hill Family & Cosmetic Dentistry will help you with any billing and paperwork to maximize your dental insurance benefits. We also offer third party financing and payment plans for patients concerned about the cost of Invisalign treatment.
